Woods & Co Recruitment are partnering with a growing commercial and industrial supplier in Melbourne’s North, recognised for their strong market reputation and value driven approach.
They’re looking for a commercially sharp
Customer Relationship Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key accounts, drive sustainable revenue growth and protect margin through disciplined, relationship led sales.
This role is all about depth over breadth. You’ll be trusted to manage the full account lifecycle, uncover growth opportunities within existing clients and act as a strategic partner rather than a transactional seller.
What’s in it for you?
- Manage and support existing customer accounts to protect and grow revenue and margin
- Focus on account strategy, retention and long term revenue rather than cold new business
- Strong emphasis on margin discipline and commercially sound decision making
- Work closely with sales, marketing, operations and product teams
- High level of autonomy with clear performance accountability
- Ongoing development of CRM, forecasting and account planning skills
- Supportive, performance driven culture that rewards results and ownership
What will you do? - Conduct daily outbound activity including follow-ups, check-ins, and opportunity generation
- Identify and action cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Build trusted, solution focused relationships with key decision makers and influencers
- Re-engage inactive or stagnant accounts to recover revenue opportunities
- Anticipate customer issues or order challenges and work with internal teams to resolve them quickly
- Suggest process improvements based on account experience
- Serve as the first point of escalation for day-to-day account issues before involving KAMs or BDMs
- Ensure smooth communication between sales, operations, and procurement teams regarding account needs
What do you need?
- Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, or account management
- Proven ability to manage customer enquiries, follow-ups, and day-to-day account activity
- Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and hold firm when needed
- Self motivated, resilient and highly accountable working style
- Emotionally intelligent, coachable and aligned to strong company values
