This firm requires an ambitious and experienced
Bookkeeper who is keen to assist in growing the bookkeeping arm of the business. You must pride yourself on your commitment to excellence, innovation, and teamwork, helping clients achieve their financial goals with precision and expertise.
The successful candidate will have solid bookkeeping experience as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to liaise directly with clients.

- Competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 + Super based on experience

What do you do? - Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including day-to-day transactions, general ledger entries, and reconciliations
- Manage the bookkeeping for a diverse array of clients (a portfolio of 10)
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
- Perform end-to-end accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Prepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements) for clients
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Manage payroll, including employee timesheets, salary payments, and superannuation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and client review
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Liaise with clients daily and build strong relationships
- Progress to preparing management reports and analysis
- Provide administrative support related to financial activities
- Report to multiple accountants and managers
What do you need?
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in a similar role and in an professional accounting firm
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred
