We are assisting a Commercial Construction firm, renowned for delivering exceptional large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects. Their Commercial Construction division is at the forefront of innovation, quality, and sustainability in the industry. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to join their team and lead the design efforts on their flagship projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design process from concept to completion for large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and project goals are met.
• Manage the development of design plans, ensuring they adhere to budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination between project teams, clients, and consultants.
• Identify and mitigate design risks, addressing any issues promptly to keep projects on track.
• Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices to continually improve design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in design management within the commercial construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
