Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a revolutionary tree-care organisation, who specialise in tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and risk assessments. Our client is dedicated to growth across industry’s including residential, commercial, and government sectors. This company has experienced an exponential amount of growth over the last year, hence the need for a dedicated Human Resources Manager.
As the
HR Manager, you will oversee recruitment, training, compliance, and workforce management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a high-performance, safety-focused environment. This hands-on role will shape company culture, streamline HR processes, and support business growth.
What you’ll do: - Manage employment contracts, onboarding, and probation reviews.
- Oversee recruitment and selection of skilled arborists, climbers, and ground crews.
- Develop training programs to maintain safety and technical compliance.
- Ensure payroll is processed efficiently and aligns with award rates.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
- Implement and oversee workplace safety policies, including EBA/CFMEU compliance (preferred).
- Provide HR guidance on workforce planning, industrial legislation, and risk management.
- Foster a strong team culture and implement engagement initiatives.
What you need: - Proven experience in HR management within arboriculture, trade, or construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and award structures.
- Experience managing HR in a high-risk, fast-paced work environment.
- Sound communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with payroll processing, HR systems, and compliance.
- EBA/CFMEU experience (preferred but not essential).
