They are seeking a
highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to provide essential support to the practice's lawyers.
This hands-on role involves managing complex files, coordinating with clients, and handling a wide range of administrative and legal tasks. The successful candidate will bring expertise and professionalism to ensure seamless day-to-day operations while delivering exceptional client service.

What do you do? - Overseeing VCAT administration files, including client liaison
- Coordinating lawyers’ schedules, including diary and calendar management
- Maintaining and organising legal files
- Managing probate and letters of administration applications
- Typing dictations
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents (including estate litigation matters)
- Preparing and compiling briefs to Counsel
- General administration, and other support tasks
What do you need: - You MUST have minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or clerk
- Proven experience in wills and estates is highly regarded
- Familiarity with estate litigation is highly regarded
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle a varied and dynamic workload
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and legal practice software
- A proactive and professional approach to client and colleague engagement
