Woods & Co. has partnered up with one of Melbourne's top residential landscape companies in the South East, the client is well-established in the high-end space and with a strong pipeline of work heading into 2025 the client is now seeking a Maintenance Manager to join the team.
What do you need? - Minimum 3-years experience managing staff in a comparable position
- Proven track record in leading a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff
- Experience in setting and running schedules
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work on the tools as required
- Familiarisation with OHS procedures and ability to ensure these procedures are followed
- Basic financial understanding and ability to understand and set sales targets
- Proven experience in meeting with clients and preparing job quotes
- Experience in conducting staff meetings
- Intermediate computer skills
- Punctuality
What do you do? - Ensure all site work is conducted safely.
- With your team, carry out prescribed works such as mowing, hedging, weeding, planting trees and plants, laying turf, mulching, timber edging, arboriculture, spraying, irrigation repairs/inspections and machinery operation.
- Ensure that all sites are maintained to the company standards consistent with the contracted scope, completing all necessary company processes in a correct and timely manner
- Actively develop the skills, competency and knowledge of apprentices working with you, with an aim of maximizing their productivity and job satisfaction
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all clients, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Ensure all interaction with the public demonstrates respect and courtesy and enhances the reputation of the company
