Woods & Co have partnered with a well-established and rapidly growing organisation in the building services and fire protection space to find a technically minded Scheduler to join their team.
This is not your typical admin-style scheduling role. We're looking for someone with a Mechanical Engineering background who can understand technical challenges, communicate effectively with clients, and identify sales or service opportunities to pass on to the wider team. If you're an engineer with strong problem-solving skills who enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on environment—this could be the perfect next step.
What’s in it for you? - $90,000 – $110,000 + Super (based on experience)
- On-site role based in Melbourne’s western suburbs
- Join a supportive and collaborative team
- Exposure to a wide variety of mechanical systems and environments
- Career development and progression opportunities
- RDOs, birthday leave & employee recognition program
- Stability in a long-standing and reputable business
What you’ll be doing: - Act as the first technical touchpoint for incoming client enquiries
- Assess and interpret mechanical service needs and site issues
- Liaise with clients, understand scope, and flag potential sales opportunities
- Schedule service, repair, and installation jobs for the Field Technician team
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and internal technical teams
- Maintain clear documentation and track job progress using internal systems
- Coordinate closely with departments to ensure efficient service delivery
What you’ll need: - Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong technical understanding of pumping systems, hydraulics, or fire protection systems
- Excellent communication skills with a client-first mindset
- Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, reactive environment
- Scheduling or coordination experience in a technical environment (preferred)
- Proactive, solutions-focused attitude and a team-oriented approach
If you're technically minded, thrive on coordination, and enjoy being the link between clients and technical teams—this role could be your perfect match.
