Woods & Co has partnered with a well-established and energetic boutique accounting firm located near Malvern. The firm prides itself on creating long-term partnerships with their clients across a variety of industries.

The firm is unique in that it provides an in-depth business support function to most clients which imbeds the firm as an integral part of the success of the client in the long-term. 

The firm seeks an experienced, qualified Accountant with a strong background in tax, compliance, and true business advisory within Australia.
  
Successful candidates will have 4-5 year’s experience as an Accountant in a business services environment, with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.

What do you do?

• Liaise directly with clients on a daily basis
• Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for various entities 
• Timely and accurate preparation of financial reports 
• Identify and recommend financial and non financial improvements
• Work autonomously
• Prepare and create tax planning strategies
• Review and execute work across different levels of business
• Assist the business in continuous improvement

What do you need?

• Multiple years' experience in a public practice accounting firm, ideally 5+ years
• Experience with Xero financial reporting 
• Experience with income tax reporting software
• Understanding of Div 7A, fringe benefits tax and tax advice
• Full CA or CPA membership
• An analytical mind
• Fantastic verbal communication; ability to confidently advise clients
• Leadership qualities
• Desire to grow and progress with the firm
