Woods & Co have partnered with a leading player in the building services and fire protection industry to find a mechanically minded and hands-on Technician Supervisor to join their growing team in Melbourne’s west.
In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a large team of field technicians, coordinating resources, and ensuring seamless delivery of technical services across the state. From installations and maintenance to fault diagnosis and training, no two days will be the same. This is the perfect role for a natural leader with a strong mechanical background who thrives in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

What you’ll be doing: - Supervise and motivate a large field service team across Victoria
- Allocate resources, schedule site visits, and manage job flow
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate service delivery
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues on-site
- Provide hands-on training and support to technicians
- Maintain clear communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Ensure all service standards, safety requirements, and procedures are followed
What you’ll need: - 5+ years' experience in a similar field-based or supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, and building services
- Ability to fault-find and resolve mechanical issues effectively
- Trade qualification in plumbing, electrical, or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working with fire systems or fire panels (highly regarded)
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to bring out the best in your team
